Nikita Zadorov Talks About Flames' Start: "Who Wants to Be Here?"

He thinks everyone's playing for themselves instead of playing together. He's like, "Do we want to be a team or just do our own thing?"

He said, "We've only played six games, and we're still figuring out who really wants to be here and who wants to play with us."

The Flames didn't start so well this season, and that's after they changed their boss and coach in the summer. Nikita is like, "Last year was different because of our old coach, Darryl. But now, there's no more Darryl, so we can't make excuses. You get what I'm saying? New coaches, new game. We play hard and give it our all."

This all comes right after the Flames' team captain, Mikael Backlund, said they need to play better after losing 6-2 to the Detroit Red Wings. He's like, "It's only been six games, but we need to step up our game. We don't want to fall behind. We want to stay in the race."

The Flames are still trying to be in the playoffs, and they're not too far behind the Vancouver Canucks. But those Vegas Golden Knights are off to a super-duper start with 12 points and are zooming ahead.
